LANGUAGE SCHOOL

School is provided for children in their native language and thus enable the children to more fully embrace their cultural background.

BECOME A PART OF OUR FAMILY

Each week, kids will explore God on their level through worship, stories, and prayer. Students learn about their heritage, language and cultural values. Students also become familiarised with many cultural events, such as Ashenda; a yearly festival celebrated by small children and young women.

The School was formed to enable parents and children to communicate in their traditional language and also for the children to learn the Ethiopian traditions. It is hoped that this will be of benefit to parents and children and lead to the Ethiopian community better integrating into the Australian way of life yet retaining and understanding their culture.
